Do workers need a smartphone?

No, and that is the whole point. The floor menu runs over USSD, which works on any handset that can make a call. No app, no data bundle, nothing to install or update.

What does a USSD session cost?

You pay Africa's Talking directly. A session is a fraction of a shilling, and typically the plant covers it rather than the worker.

How long does a worker spend on it?

Every branch of the menu finishes inside thirty seconds and four keypresses. Nobody trains anybody; a supervisor shows a welder once and it sticks.

Can I try it before paying?

Set up a plant and use it. Add a couple of materials and one worker number, and the Manufacturing Pulse starts reading real records within the hour.

Is my data mixed with other plants?

No. Every query is scoped to your plant at the database layer, and Enterprise can run an entirely separate instance. See security for how that is enforced.

What if the internet goes down?

The USSD side keeps working, because it rides the mobile network rather than broadband. The dashboard needs a connection; the floor does not.

What if the USSD line goes down?

Nothing queues on a feature phone, so entries made during an outage are simply not made. Current state is always on service status, and a fault can sit with us or with the mobile network. Having a worker dial from a second network tells us which.

Do you charge per worker?

No. One price per plant, every module included. Charging per worker would make you think twice about registering the ones who most need to report.

Can I get my data out?

Every table exports to CSV from the Reports screen, at any time, without asking us. It is your record; see the terms.

Who can see what inside my plant?

Five roles run from viewer to owner. A supervisor can run the floor without seeing margins; a viewer sees everything and changes nothing.
